Born in 1978, Tilkesh Sharma is the younger son of the famous Indian traditional artist Ramesh B Sharma. Like others in the family, he works in the time-honored traditions of miniature, Pichhwai, and oil paintings, also using gold leaf and semi precious stones in his creations. He shoulders the responsibility of taking forward the legacy left behind by his father, who pioneered the art of making copies of famous Tanjore and Mughal paintings, admirably. Recipient of Rajasthan State award, his work has been exhibited in India as well as in Dubai and other countries. The artist lives and works from Nathdwara.
