Niren Sengupta

Born in 1940, artist-cum-art-educator Niren Sengupta, retired as the Principal of College of Art, Delhi. A product of Kolkata’s Government College of Art & Craft, Niren Sengupta created his own brand, in a spiritual realm focusing mostly on Buddhist legends. A prolific artist, he has experimented with various color orientations, including the purity of white. Niren Sengupta’s works are held in prestigious individual and institutional collections including that of the Prime Minister of Japan, and the National Gallery of Modern Art, Delhi.
