Born in 1975 in Andhra Pradesh, Saraswathi L received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Painting from Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture & Fine Arts Department at the University in Hyderabad. She has also had training in drawing. Portraits of gods and goddesses and epical narratives come alive in her colourful work, which shows clear influences of the classical style. A participant at various art camps, she has been actively showing her work in exhibitions held at the State Art Gallery in Hyderabad, and at the Chitrakala Parishath in Bangalore as well as in New Delhi, and Mumbai, besides others. Her work has found its way into private homes and offices in cities across India and abroad. She has also been felicitated with awards by the Hyderabad Art Society for her work at the All India Art Exhibition and by CMS Vatavaran for winning the 4th Creative Expression Painting Competition.
