I Dewa Putu Gede Mandra born in 1951 at Batuan, is an artist working in Bali. His densely drawn and painted work is narrative in character and based on religious and folk myths. His paintings have been exhibited at the Bali Arts Festival, Museum Bali, Museum Puri Lukisan Ubud, Pasar Seni Ancol Jakarta, and galleries in France, Germany and USA amongst others. The artist lives with his family in a traditionally built home in Bali and works from his studio there.
