Born in Nathdwara, Rakesh Ramesh Sharma is the son of famous Indian artist Ramesh B. Sharma, a specialist in making copies of famous Tanjore and Mughal paintings. Rakesh along with his brother Tilkesh carries forward this legacy and works in the time-honoured tradition of miniature, and pichhavai paintings. He also makes drawings and oil paintings of gods and goddesses using gold leaf and semi-precious stones. His work has been exhibited in India and other countries.The artist lives and works in Nathdwara.
