Mukul Mishra born in 1976 in Jaipur is a scholarship holder who passed his graduation and master’s degrees in sculpture from Rajasthan University. He grew up in a family of traditional sculptors and master carvers and learnt the classical techniques and forms as a child while his formal art education brought him in contact with contemporary and more abstract forms. He works in marble and bronze as well as plaster and fiberglass to create sculptures inspired by human and iconic forms in small and big sizes. His work has been exhibited in solo and group shows across India winning him AIFACS, Rajasthan State LKA, and Kala Mela awards besides others. It is part of several collections. Both the uncle Arvind Mishra and nephew artists live in a joint family in Jaipur. They work from their collective studio on the outskirts of the city and have a showroom and workshop in the city.
